Mike’s Musings
Great to see another good attendance at Rotary this week and we were privileged to hear from Danielle Bergin, our guest speaker, who talked about her long-term project The Island Child Charitable trust. Danielle spoke with real passion about her journey from being homeless herself to setting up a village to set up many others into a life with a much better future. I have added a couple of links that detail her work.
This coming week there is a change in venue. On Wednesday 19th October we will be meeting for breakfast at Melba in Karaka at 7.00am. Please email me if you are coming as the restaurant would like an indication of numbers-Anne will be back to run the meeting but only arrives back in NZ a day or so before.
We will then be back at the Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club on the 26th October.
The club has been successful in gaining the additional funds to run the Santa Parade which is encouraging and hopefully with the paperwork completed it is all go for December 4th. Please make yourself available on this day-all leave is cancelled.
Have a great week
Mike
