Laptop Gift

Recently our newest member, Lars Lundo-Nielson, gifted 21 powerful Notebook Computers from his company MSD for the pupils of Edmund Hillary School in Papakura. They were very eagerly received on behalf of the School by the Principal Katarainer Nock who was lost for words by this generosity. Although the school is part of the Kootuitui Trusts Educational Programme and the Chrome Book Purchasing scheme not all Children can participate due to a shortage of funds.
Kokako Lodge Working Bee

Last weekend a Working Bee was held out at our Kokako Lodge Camp at Hunua Falls and was a trial to involve Rotoracters and RYLA Alumni to work alongside Rotarians. Enjoy some fellowship and to give the Camp a well needed Clean-up following a wet winter.

Thanks to Warren, Tijin, Ted, Allan & Lois and Mike & Sue for your support and hard work as the place certainly looked cleaner at the end. But dare I say it ,we need to yet get another day organised.

Update from Tijn
Wednesday, the 16th of October, George asked me if I would like to help around the Kokako lodge. And of course, I said yes because I found it a fantastic opportunity to see new things and meet new people.
So after the few days that passed so fast, It was already Saturday. And with the day before not being entirely sure what time George was picking me up, so I took no risks and set my alarm nice and early. And got ready for the hard-working day, made some breakfast, and did some stuff that I still needed to do.
