From the President's Desk

Hello fellow Rotarians and other readers,

So this week we are meeting at Bruce Pulman Park upstairs in the new netball stadium. If you have put your name down to attend you will be invoiced, as we have had to confirm numbers.

I would also like to let you know Tracey and I will hold the president’s party on the 6th of April so keep that date free. At this stage we are thinking dinner.

Also thanks for all the well wishes for my mum, she is doing ok as I am sure you can imagine Tracey is a great nurse.

Quote of the week;

“I try to tell people the only way to be cool is to be who you truly are, and the only way to live life is to do the things that you want to do and be the person that you want to be no matter who that is or what that is or how you have to do it. That’s the only way to genuinely happy.”  (Tucker Max)

See you all on Thursday.
Cheers
Jon.

George’s comments on our last meeting

As a long serving member of Rotary Papakura I thought that I should make a few comments regarding our last meeting and congratulate all concerned for a very enjoyable experience. I came away absolutely glowing about the experience, with renewed energy given the enjoyment that the evening provided.

What value does your club have for young professionals?

Rotary, like any business, has customers. For us, those customers are our members and we must provide value to assure satisfied customers. The key to attracting and retaining young professional “customers” is presenting a Value Proposition that is attractive.

This is good blog post by By Michael Walstrom, president of the Rotary Club of Downtown Boca Raton, Florida.
