New Zealand National Burn Centre

Dear Papakura Rotary members,

Finally, some photos of the clinic area for you!

Thank you so much for your extremely generous donation the $11,000 from the Papakura Rotary Charitable Trust toward the National Burn Centre outpatient renovations. The renovations look great and meets all our expectations!

And even more exciting news Jackie has finished and passed her Masters!  We haven’t managed a celebration yet – but we are all delighted for her!

Once again, thank you so much for your support for our burn unit!

Projector Gift from MSD

Projector Gift from Merck, Sharp and Dohme Corp ( MSD )
Last week the overhead projectors gifted to us by MSD via our very own Lars Lundo-Neilsen were presented to Papakura High, Papakura Intermediate, Edmund Hillary and Park Estate .

These high quality Projectors are a valued addition to each of these Schools as there is never sufficient budget available to purchase the required units for all requirements. Each projector was received with open arms and a big smile of gratitude.

Thanks so much to our newest member Lars for going to the extra effort of checking them all over, replacing worn cables and parts ensuring that they were all in top working order and fit for purpose.

The local schools certainly need all of the support that we can muster as often the parental support is very thin if not non existing. Many thanks to MSD for their very deep, committed and valued purpose of helping to improve the community.
Polio All Train Event 2019

The Polio All Trains event took place on Friday 1st November with George on board the first Leg North from Britomart at around 8.00am. It transpired to become a great day with tons of fun and well over the 40 Stations that we were told so at the end after travelling all the lines and arriving back some 12 hours later we were all shattered with our AT Cards all melting with overuse.
Nearly all of our Auckland based Clubs in 9920 were present at their allocated Station with PDG Jenny Herring gathering up the cheques in grand styled we also linked with our 9910 Clubs when we slid into their areas.

Thank you from Edmund Hillary School

A lovely Thank you letter to Lars and MSD from Edmund Hillary School. Please take the time to read this letter.
