Rotary Club of Papakura

24th September 2020, Issue 12

From the President's Desk
Hi All
Thanks, Hobby for your presentation on the Cemetery Shelter Project last week. When we get the opportunity to do something like this, we do it well.
Great to see a number of ‘old’ faces and remember their contribution to the RC of Papakura. Great to catch up with PP Noel and Dianne.
This week is our AGM. This is a requirement of being an Incorporated Rotary Club and once it is over, it is over. Enough said.
Look forward to seeing you all Thursday
Yours in Rotary
Crimewatch BBQ Trailer
At last the finished product!  Glenn Torrens the Chairman of Papakura Community Crimewatch collected the completed trailer on Wed 16th September. Glenn says it has taken two long years to get this trailer.
Crimewatch is very grateful to Rotary for the financial support that made its purchase possible. Many thanks to Papakura Rotary, Drury Rotary, The Chenery Trust and our Rotary Foundation.
We have booked the trailer for this year’s Christmas Parade on Sunday 6th December. So get the Onions ready fellows and watch out for the stampede.
Sincere thanks to all concerned and another fine example of our Rotary Clubs sharing a project. The multiplying effect that resulted in this $9,000.00 project.  Particular thanks for the support of Drury Rotary Club.
