Christmas Party

A huge thank you to Lisa van den Brink for putting on what has to be the best (and perhaps hottest!!) Christmas party in recent years. The venue looked superb, the food was great and the company even better.  The raffle prizes looked fabulous and we would like to extend a big thanks to all those who donated generously and to Dawn and Raewyn for putting them together. Congratulations to all the lucky winners! And finally, thanks to all that came along and made the day one to remember!

Shefali Mehta QSM, BEM & JP and Interplast

Last week we were privileged to have Shefali update us on Interplast in Asia Pacific; she is an absolutely amazing  woman with a huge heart and a work rate to match and as I said in my introduction she is a Rotarian Pocket Rocket! After migrating to New Zealand in 1997, Shefali joined Auckland Harbourside the following year and the Club hasn’t been the same since. She has served on many committees and when President in 2012-13, the Club raising $107,000.00 for Starship and Auckland Medical Research. She is hugely active in the wider community and was awarded a Queens Service Medal in 2016 for services to the Indian Community along with everyday activities as a JP and Deputy Chair for Global India New Zealand.

Santa Parade 8th December 2019

Sunday afternoon 8th December

All leave is cancelled

The Parade starts at 3pm. Streets will be closed from 1pm and the Parade floats will assemble early afternoon.

The Club will provide BBQ and soft freeze ice creams to the public again after the success of last year.  No balloons this time though.
The Business Association are planning to run an event following-on from the Parade with bands and entertainment in Central Park.
