From the President's Desk

Hello fellow Rotarians,
So last week we had the Club Assembly for those of you that missed the meeting.

It feels like we are on the right track after going through the goals and Strategic Plan from the last few years, which is promising for the future.
It has been a very busy weekend for me, managed to remove another 38 possums on Friday night then headed to the beach on Saturday morning on the bikes. Saturday night I found myself at the Blues Chiefs in a corporate box and then finished the weekend at LETS (leadership Elect Training) on Sunday. Tough life but someone has to do it.
Great to hear we have our RYLA spots filled thanks to Martin and Warren Mills too.

Quote of the week;
(I read this last week while looking for quotes for RYLA and liked it.)
“The future needs passionate, happy, and confident young leaders willing to challenge the status quo and stand up for their convictions.” Richard Branson

See you all on Thursday,

President's Backyard BBQ
What a great night and venue!  I told you Jon wasn't too shabby with a BBQ! Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make the night a success.
Edmund Hillary School Camp
The group of years 6,7 and 8  students who will attend the first camp the school has held in over 12 years at Camp Adair in Hunua.
Donna and Peter got the opportunity to go along to a school assembly where the club was thanked for its contribution to the upcoming camp.
Lily on the Speaking Circuit
All that practice that Lily has with her 'one minutes' to the club each week came in very handy as she was the Guest Speaker at Otahuhu Rotary Club on Tuesday. She did a great job sharing a little about her life in France and then her experiences as a Rotary Youth Exchange student here in New Zealand. She delivered her presentation with confidence and did a wonderful job at promoting the benefits of being part of such an outstanding Rotary Programme.
Rotary Youth Exchange

Changeover - 22 June 2019

Please remember to RSVP to your Changeover Invitation. It has been a cracker year to celebrate and it would be great to have as many members along as possible to welcome PE Grant into his new role.

Recipe Finder!
There were several requests for a couple of recipe's from the President's BBQ on Saturday. If Lynda's rice salad or Dawn's chocolate slice were one of your favourites from the evening, then you are in luck!
