From the President's Desk

Hello fellow Rotarians,
So this is it, my last week as President and what a year it has been!

I want to say a massive thank you to the whole club for the great support and help I have received over the last 12 Months. It really was a lot of fun, mixed in with some hard work which is often the best combination. Leading Papakura Rotary and working alongside you has been an honour and I am grateful I was given the opportunity. As a Club we have done ourselves proud and I believe we have had a substantial impact on our wider community.
Changeover registration is now closed for this Saturday. Remember this is a formal evening and a chance to flash it up a bit and based on last year will be good fun!
Tracey and I cannot be there for Lily’s speech on Thursday which is very sad as she has just been a fantastic exchange student. Please get behind her and come along to see her off. She did a great job at farewell of thanking her host families and the club. Not a dry eye in the house. You will be missed Lily!
See you all on Saturday night,

Edmund Hillary School Camp
The group of years 6,7 and 8  students who will attend the first camp the school has held in over 12 years at Camp Adair in Hunua.
Donna and Peter got the opportunity to go along to a school assembly where the club was thanked for its contribution to the upcoming camp.
Lily on the Speaking Circuit
All that practice that Lily has with her 'one minutes' to the club each week came in very handy as she was the Guest Speaker at Otahuhu Rotary Club on Tuesday. She did a great job sharing a little about her life in France and then her experiences as a Rotary Youth Exchange student here in New Zealand. She delivered her presentation with confidence and did a wonderful job at promoting the benefits of being part of such an outstanding Rotary Programme.
