Our leader Dennis Millard instructing the ladies from the Newmarket Club on the intricacies of the packing line

During this last week the ERK packing tempo lifted with Auckland, Parnell and Newmarket Clubs setting a blistering pace! Each  Club packed close to 175 units, a wonderful result of which they should all be very proud. There is only  73 boxes left to be packed on Wednesday night from a total of 750 units.

Past DG Ron Seeto caught stamping down the cardboard bin - the 7th to be filled this run!

The Boxes will be packed into the containers by the Ellerslie Sunrise Club and then taken to Bonney’s Transport in Penrose awaiting a new Cyclone to occur somewhere in the Pacific at such time they will be sent by Air to the affected area.

We as a club have paid a very big part in this project again this year and should be very proud of our contribution, not only my heavy involvement, (as I am on the District Committee) but also the backup labour of Peter Wilcock, Morris and Vicky Jones, Warren & Jackie Megget, Lyn Wilson, Allan and Lois McKay, Ted and Sue Lees, Lynette Ross and last but not least that grizzly old veteran Warren of the Garlick Clan.

Thank so much to you all we could not do it without you and yet another fine example of Papakura at its BEST.  I owe you all!!!!

Cheers,
George
