On, May 14th, we will welcome Emma Chatterton, the recently selected National Party candidate for the Papakura electorate. Emma is stepping into the shoes left by Hon. Judith Collins, who has served our community for 24 years.
To introduce Emma, we have Claire Schoeller from Judith Collins’ office. Claire has been a long-standing "right-hand lady" in the local team and provides a wonderful bridge between the electorate’s seasoned leadership and its new candidate.
About Emma Chatterton
Emma is no stranger to the Counties-Manukau region; she was born and raised here, with four generations of her family having lived, worked, and farmed in the area. Her professional background is deeply rooted in education and social investment:
Education Expert: Spent over a decade as a teacher in both New Zealand and the UK.
Government Experience: Currently serves as a Senior Advisor to Education Minister Erica Stanford.
Social Investment: Previously worked for ImpactLab under Sir Bill English, focusing on using data to deliver the right social services to the right people.
Emma is passionate about unlocking the potential of our youth and ensuring a world-leading education system. We look forward to hearing her vision for Papakura.
Please join us in giving Emma and Claire a warm Rotary welcome!
