Kura Connect's Term 2 2025 multi-sport activities, held at the Redhill Community Centre on Friday nights from May 2nd to June 13th, were a great success, largely due to the "invaluable" support of the Rotary Papakura crew
The program, running for 7 weeks, offered a variety of sports including Fast5 Netball, Basketball, Turbo Touch, Volleyball, and Table Tennis. A key highlight was the increased participation, particularly from children, who showed growing confidence and transitioned from spectators to active players.
Kura Connect extended "many, many, many thanks" to Rotary Papakura, emphasizing that the "presence and the ability to offer attendees a sausage sizzle goes a long way" and is a "massive drawcard for participants and supporters." They stated that their activations "could not and would not be as successful" without Rotary's assistance.
