A vibrant energy filled the air at Shakespeare Bay in Whangaparoa last weekend, as nearly 50 bright young students gathered for Winter RYPEN. The event, a powerful testament to the theme of "empowering youth - building leaders," brought together future leaders from across the region.
Guiding them were 20 dedicated leaders, all of whom are graduates of RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). The event was run expertly under the watchful eye of Anie Kwok. We are especially proud to report that our last RYLA awardee, Hannah Blackwell (2025), and her RYLArian partner, Mitchell (2024), were among the leaders who helped make the weekend a resounding success.
Our club was delighted to sponsor two promising students from ACG Strathallan to attend. It was a weekend of growth, collaboration, and inspiration, reinforcing the power of mentorship and the incredible potential of our youth.
