Every year, our club works hard to support local families doing it tough. While we often see the logistics and the numbers behind our food parcel and grocery voucher initiatives, we don't always get to see the immediate relief they bring.
Recently, coordinator Raewyn received a wave of beautiful messages from local families who received your support throughout the year. To protect their privacy, we have kept them anonymous, but we wanted to share their raw, heartfelt gratitude with the club. This is the real-world impact of your generosity:
Lifting the Burden in Times of Stress
For many families, an unexpected crisis or a major life transition can break a tight budget. Your support arrived at just the right moment for these households:
"Thank you so much... this is a big help for me and my kids. As we are also in the process of moving houses this weekend. Thank you again and appreciate this kind gesture."
"I just wanted to say again how thankful and grateful me and my family are for your help today. It means a lot to us and honestly couldn't have been better timing. We’ve been making daily trips to Middlemore Hospital for the past two and a half weeks visiting Grandma, and because of that our budget has been very tight."

From keeping kitchens stocked during the coldest months to bringing joy at Christmas, Papakura Rotary has been there to ease the seasonal pressures:

A Note to Our Members
Behind every one of these messages is a family that slept a little easier, a parent who worried a little less, and children who went to bed with full bellies.
A special mention must go to Raewyn for her incredible personal generosity and tireless work in coordinating these efforts and delivering hope right to people's doors.
