On Friday, August 22, the Try Play Day at Bruce Pulman Park brought together a dedicated group of volunteers to provide a day of active fun for students with disabilities. The event was a great example of community collaboration, with a "village" of like-minded people working together to create a safe and joyful environment for participants.

The event, supported by a wide range of volunteers, gave students the opportunity to enjoy various activities and sports. According to Tracey-Lee Dalton, a key organizer, the joy and smiles on the participants' faces were a testament to the event's success. The principal of Rosehill School also expressed gratitude for the valuable contributions of all involved.

George Wilson, a patroller at the event, highlighted the strong cooperation between different organizations, including Rotary Drury, Maori Wardens, and other community groups. This collaboration made the event a tangible success, showing what can be achieved when people and organizations work together for a common goal. George particularly wants to thank the following - Ted, Lloyd, Donna, Warren and Jackie, Malcolm, Peter, Graham, and Hobby from RC Papakura, and Phillip and Des from RC Drury

Organizers are already looking forward to future events to support people with disabilities, believing that by working together, they can continue to create positive change in the community.
