Mark your calendars, Rotarians! We are officially just two weeks away from the Papakura Christmas Festival and Santa Parade on Sunday, November 23rd, starting at 11 am. Momentum is building fast, and we are expecting our biggest turnout yet!
The whole venue will transform into a summer Christmas wonderland packed with activities running until 4 pm.
Festival Numbers are Soaring!
The community has responded enthusiastically, and we have incredible numbers confirmed:
- Floats: A spectacular 31 floats are already registered for the parade! We encourage any last-minute entries to jump on board and help us reach a record-breaking total.
- Food Vendors: We have reached our maximum capacity with 18 delicious food vendors confirmed! Attendees will have plenty of fantastic options for lunch and treats.
- Community Stalls: A vibrant total of 22 community stalls are signed up, ensuring a fantastic array of local goods, gifts, and information. We still have room for a few more stalls—if you know of an organisation looking to participate, tell them to get in touch now!
Mandatory Festival Update Night
To ensure our team is fully prepared, please make note of our upcoming meeting:
- Festival Update Meeting: The Rotary meeting on Thursday, November 20th, will be dedicated to the Festival. We will cover the final logistics, our specific duties on the day, and all last-minute details regarding the float and event coordination. All members involved in the festival should attend.
The Annual Santa Parade & Rotary's Float
The highlight of the day is the annual Santa Parade, featuring our massive 31+ floats, culminating in the grand entrance of Santa!
This is our chance to shine and show the community what we’re all about. We'll need all hands on deck for final preparations, so please reach out to Lloyd Williams if you can lend a hand this week or next.
