We have two very special and important dinner meetings coming up in November, focusing on vital community and health initiatives. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend both!

🔨 Dinner Meeting: The Impact of MENZSHED in our area.

When: Thursday, November 13th

Time: 5:30 PM for a light dinner

Where: Windross Farm Golf Club, 237 Alfriston-Ardmore Road, Ardmore

Join us for our next dinner meeting where we welcome representatives from the local MENZSHED groups. The evening will also be a special occasion as we induct a new member into the Rotary Club of Papakura!

We are delighted to host Brent Russell, the Region 1 Representative, who will be speaking about the vital work and community impact of the MENZSHED movement.

Open Invitation: This special evening is open to all 'sheddies' from surrounding Rotary Clubs who share an interest in supporting and collaborating with MENZSHED. As always, all members are encouraged to bring their partners.

If you would like to attend, please contact President Kathryn to confirm your attendance. Don't miss this opportunity to connect and learn more about this fantastic community initiative!

❤️ Special Speaker: Cure Kids NZ and Rheumatic Heart Disease

When: Monday, November 27th

Where: Hillary House Leadership Centre Trust, 2 Franklyne Road, Otara

Time: We start at 5:30 PM with a light dinner, followed by our meeting. This event is BYO drinks.

We are very pleased to welcome Nico Tillon, Director of Fiji & Pacific Partnerships for Cure Kids NZ.

Nico will be joining us to give a presentation on the incredible work Cure Kids NZ is doing, with a particular focus on Rheumatic Fever and Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD). This is a highly relevant topic for our club, being based in South Auckland. We look forward to hearing about some of the new breakthroughs and progress being made in this crucial area of child health.

This promises to be an enlightening and important evening, highlighting a major health issue that affects our community and the wider Pacific region.
