The Rotary Club of Auckland has once again brought the world-renowned World Press Photo Exhibition to our doorstep, but this year features a massive twist. For the first time ever, they have partnered with the Doc Edge Festival to combine hard-hitting photojournalism with a cutting-edge immersive digital storytelling exhibition.
Even better? All profits from this year's event are being donated directly to the Auckland City Mission.

Why It’s Worth the Trip
Housed in the heritage halls of the iconic (and now sadly closed) Smith & Caughey’s building on Queen Street, this landmark exhibition is a masterclass in global perspective.
World Press Photo 2026: Features deeply moving, award-winning images from 42 international photojournalists, selected from over 57,000 entries across 141 countries. It captures human resilience, conflict, and hope over the past year.
Doc Edge Immersive: A series of 12 virtual reality, interactive installations, and sensory-driven experiences (including five world premieres) that let you step inside real-world documentary narratives.
It is a truly powerful journey that moves you from simply "seeing" a picture to genuinely "feeling" the story.
